The Modern Hypocrites are a 4 piece band that hail from Philadelphia, PA. They combine elements of 50's Rock, 60's Pop, and 70's Metal to establish a brand new style that the band like to call Love Rock. Love Rock is the brain child of the band's two chief songwriters Rhythm Guitarist/Singer Jeffrey Mitchell and Bass Guitarist Dusty Bennett. The Modern Hypocrites are relative newcomers to the scene. Their debut EP has just been recorded at SkyCave Studios and is being distributed in the great D.I.Y. (Do-It-Yourself) Spirit of Punk Rock. One day the band will be so big they will be distributed in the not so great S.E.D.I.F.Y. (Someone-Else-Does- It-For-You) Spirit of Corporate Rock. The Modern Hypocrites creed is "Play Anywhere/Anytime" and the venues they have performed at are a great testament to that philosophy. The band has played... The Trocadero North Star Bar The Four Horseman Philadelphia Marathon The Drake Tavern The West End Saloon Bodog Battle of the Bands Parkway Room Crossroads Cafe The Speakeasy Cafe Free Library of East Falls The Drake Tavern Roxborough Presbyterian Church As you can see the band will turn up anywhere to spread the Love Rock Revolution. The band regularly draw a GAZILLION people. This loyal band of fans often drives great distance to drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol and sing in full voice to the Hook Laden Choruses.
